David Secrett – I am a Systemic Psychotherapist who works with individual, couple and families.  I work as a private psychotherapist and as an NHS psychotherapist.

What personal data I collect and why I collect it

Emails and Contact forms

I will use your email address to send you emails about your inquiry and then about our work together.

The contact form if used will send a message to me at david.secrett@gmail.com.  Your name and email address will be sent to me. Your email address will be sent to my email address but will not stored anywhere else, or used other than to reply to any messages I am sent.

If you make an inquiry and you do not become a client I will then keep your details for a reasonable time and then destroy your data.

My email is not encrypted so please be aware that email exchanges are not secure.

Your name and email address will not be shared with anybody unless you specifically ask me to pass these details to a third party. By using the contact form you agree to this.

The reason I keep information and data

As a healthcare professional who is working within safeguards, as stated by the recognised national accreditation bodies United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and the Association for Family Therapy, I need to store information and data about clients.  This is to be able to have reliable records if I need to explain our work together.

Keeping notes

I need to keep notes and I will keep them in a summary form.

: need to be informed of notes being taken.

: have right of access to the notes.

: can ask them to be changed if they so wish.

: can ask for them to be destroyed.

: can restrict their processing.

: can ask for their data to be passed on.

: can object to them being made.

If a client wishes to see the data held about them this will be provided within 30 days.

Who I share your data with

I do not share your data with any one else unless you ask me to.

How long I retain your data

I will keep these records as long as is required by my insurance company, Towergate Insurance, Herts SG1 2GA.
